4-Steps to Rediscover Each Other Through Unique Monthly Experiences

Begin your adventure with us by selecting three dates you’re available each month during our initial setup. This flexibility allows us to carefully curate experiences that fit seamlessly into your busy lifestyle. Our process starts at the very top of each billing cycle, ensuring you have something exciting to look forward to every month.

A few days before your experience, we'll reveal the surprise! You'll receive all the necessary details including tickets, timing, location, and what to expect. We take care of all the arrangements, so all you need to do is be ready for an adventure. Whether it’s a skydiving jump or a secret concert, each experience is selected to push your boundaries and expand your horizons.

Show up and immerse yourself in a new adventure that promises to enrich your life and deepen your relationships. Each experience is an opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and try things you never thought you would. Our goal is to make every weekend unforgettable, transforming the mundane into the extraordinary.

How much does a Renaissance Club membership cost?

Membership costs roughly what you would spend on a nice dinner. You only pay the monthly fee. Every experience is free.

Here's the breakdown:

- 1 experience per month (Monthly): $99/mo per person

- 2 experiences per month (Biweekly): $189/mo per person

- Thrill Seeker Add-On: additional $26/mo per person (this includes high-octane experiences like Skydiving, Bunjee Jumping, Paragliding, etc. added into your rotation)

What's included in the membership fee? What's not included?

Under your membership, the cost of ALL your experiences is completely covered.

Your membership also comes with white-glove concierge support, a gift box, and full suggested itineraries near your activities. You also get free access to our TRIBES feature, which helps you connect and form “tribes” with our ever growing community of like-minded members.

*Note: The only costs we DON'T cover are the occasional extra expenses like street or garage parking, vendor tips (optional), gift shop purchases, food and drink, etc.

Will there be other Renaissance Club members at my experiences?

The short answer: Sometimes yes, and sometimes no (but very often YES)!

The longer answer: It really depends on the experience itself, and your availability and preferences.

Sundays and Saturdays are by far our most popular experience dates. If you choose to have an activity on, say, a Wednesday evening, you are far less likely to see other members (but you may see non-members - some experiences are not exclusively Renaissance members). Some experiences are also more solitary than others (think a sensory deprivation tank vs a big pottery class).

That said, we always do our best to book you in groups, so being open minded helps! If you continually decline (or reschedule) whatever we offer you, it decreases the odds you'll be booked with others. At the end of the day, we have no control over who is available when, and who actually shows up.

Rather than think of us as a "social meetup group", it's better to think of Renaissance Club as your personal experience curator. Each member is on their own journey of trying new things on a regular basis. Sometimes, you'll be the only member at your experiences, but far more often you'll enjoy things with other members, and have plenty of opportunities to make new connections!

What is the average age of your members?

Our typical age range is mid-30s to mid-50s, though we have members from 21 to 80+!


Regarding matching members by age for activities, please note:


A. While we strive to group members together whenever possible, we can't always guarantee it due to varying schedules, preferences, and other factors. Also, most experiences include non-members, so interactions may vary.


B. We don't have a formal system yet for matching members by age, but we're working on it! This is a complex update we're working on internally, which will be ready in a few months. For now, we do our best to group members of similar ages informally.


Overall, we try to emphasize that Renaissance Club really shines for people interested in trying many new things. If your main goal is socializing, some experiences may not meet that expectation. However, as we grow, these challenges decrease, and if you're available on weekends, you're far more likely to meet other members!

Can I join with a partner?

Absolutely! Renaissance Club is perfect to join with partners, friends, or family! It's a great way to deepen any relationship.

What kinds of experiences will I be doing?

While there are over 100 unique experiences, each one is derived from one of 5 major categories:

Arts & Crafts - pottery, woodwork, blacksmithing, candle-making, painting, etc.

Culinary Arts - cooking classes, tastings, foraging, coffee roasting, mixology, etc.

Motion - archery, dance, kayaking, climbing, fencing, rage rooms, trapeze, etc.

Culture - live shows, escape rooms, whale watching, magic, exhibits, special tours, etc.

Spirituality - tai chi, meditation, sensory deprivation, sound baths, etc.

There are 2 additional categories which members may include in their membership by choice:

Thrill Seeker - high adrenaline activities like skydiving, trapeze, and bunjee jumping

Philanthropy - volunteer-based activities to help those in need.

How are my experiences curated?

Each month, we will ask you to choose three dates you are free.

From there, your concierge meticulously selects and curates your experiences, tailoring each experience to you based on your unique availability, preferences, and date selections.

You may update your availability and preferences at any time in your portal. All of our vendors are highly vetted, and we’re constantly iterating our ration based on member feedback after each experience.

How often will I receive new experiences?

You will receive new curated experiences every month at the top of each membership cycle (which starts and ends on the day you join), ensuring a constant stream of exciting and unique activities to enjoy.

Monthly members will get 1 experience per month. Biweekly members will get 2 experiences per month.

Can I reschedule my experience if something comes up?

While we do ask that you commit to the date you chose, we get that life happens!

With 99% of experiences, rescheduling is a simple click of a button, so long as we are respecting the vendor's policy.

Every vendor has a different deadline past which we can no longer make any changes. That deadline is determined by the vendor, not us. As long as you request to reschedule before that deadline (and assuming the ticket is refundable or exchangeable), we’ll happily reschedule you! ​

Can I skip a month if I need a break or traveling?

Yes! In your portal, you can skip up to 3 months at a time, completely free!

If you've already paid for a month, and we have not yet booked your experience, notify us right away and we'll happily give you a credit which can be redeemed any time, either as an additional experience, or as an *extra ticket for a friend to a future experience.

*Extra ticket may not be applicable for some premium experiences.

What if I'm uncomfortable with trying an experience?

While we ask that you be open-minded, you are never obligated to partake in any experience you are uncomfortable with!

If you decide you are uncomfortable with an upcoming experience, please let us know immediately upon reveal by hitting the "Uncomfortable" button. We will happily swap out your experience for something else!

Like with reschedules, we can only do this up to a certain point. Once we've passed the vendor's cancellation deadline, we can no longer make changes to your reservation, so let us know right away!

Since we use your preferences to curate your experiences, this should happen very rarely, if at all. ​

If I'm in a DUO, can I bring someone else if my +1 can't make it?

Great question, and yes! In most cases, you may bring someone else instead of your +1.

There may be a few experiences that only allow those whose exact name is on the ticket, but most experiences should be perfectly fine. When you get your Experience Reveal, you should have all the info you need there. If you're still unsure, please reach out to us so we can double check for you.​

What happens if a vendor cancels my experience?

If any activity is canceled by the vendor for any reason (ie weather, illness, booking error, etc.), that, of course, is not on you and you will be rescheduled automatically at no extra charge.​

Will I ever repeat an experience?

We will always try to make sure you are not repeating experiences until you have completed all possible experiences available to you based on your membership and preferences.

In most cases, you should not be repeating a particular experience for at least 2-3 years. That said, if you have very limited availability, that can severely limit the range of what we can offer you, and may result in repeated or similar experiences on occasion.

What are Tribes?

Available only to Classic memberships and up, Tribes is an exciting feature which helps you to form deeper connections with other members you might meet along your journey. Meeting other members isn't always guaranteed, but is very common (especially if you're free on weekends).

If you meet another Renaissance Club who you really connect with at any of your experiences, you can invite them to your Tribe or join theirs! Each Tribe can have a max of 10 people.

While it isn't guaranteed you'll be always be booked with other Tribe members at every experience, it lets your booking concierge know to book you together as much as possible, and whenever your availability aligns! 

What are Perks?

Perks (available only to Classic memberships and up) is a feature that isn't quite ready yet, but we are expecting to release in early 2025.

With Perks, you'll get exclusive discounts to brands, restaurants, coffee shops, events, etc. all throughout LA for as long as you're an active member! These perks will be in addition to (not instead of) your already free experiences!

Think of it as your exclusive "key to the city." The best part? Your benefits will always continue to expand, as we are constantly building new partnerships with brands YOU vote for.

Perks gradually become unlocked in "tiers" the longer you remain a member. We are slowly building up a roster of partnerships we align with, and are so excited to unleash this feature. 

*It's worth noting that while this feature is not available yet, members who remain with us when that feature is released will enjoy access to 100% of the perks we have at the time as a gift for being an early adopter! Anyone who joins after the perks are released will not receive these benefits, and will need to unlock those perks over time. 

Can I gift an RC membership to someone?

Yes! Renaissance Club is one of the most unique and memorable gifts you could possibly give.

At the moment, the best way to gift RC is to Sign Up as normal, and enter your gift recipient's name and information instead of yours. Then, when it comes time to check out, simply use your credit card instead of theirs. This will charge your card each month just like a normal membership, which your recipient can then cancel any time.

Your recipient can also easily swap out your credit card for theirs at any point.

Will there be an RC representative at my experiences?

Due to the volume and variety of activities we have happening on any given day, there is no way we could possibly send (much less staff) a representative to be at each experience.

For this reason, we highly encourage members to take charge in sparking conversation with one another if another member is at your activity!

Are you able to accommodate members in wheelchairs?

We are constantly growing our network of experiences, and do everything we can to find ones that are as inclusive as possible!

We certainly have experiences that cater to wheelchair users such as pottery, cooking classes, and even garden tours, which are wheelchair friendly. It all really just depends on where you live (and how far you’re willing to drive if you don’t live in the central LA area). There is also the consideration of other factors such as dietary preferences, availability, and other factors which further limit which experiences you’d be able to do.

In the past, we have been able to accommodate those in wheelchairs, at least for a short period of time. It’s admittedly still an ongoing work in progress!

Can I cancel any time?

Yes! You can cancel any time! Your membership is month to month, and there is no long-term commitment.

Just make sure to cancel at least 7 days prior to your membership renewing. Your membership will remain active through the end of your current billing cycle.
